Addressing Your Dog Behavior ProblemsDog training was created in man's recognition of the conditions before established dog behaviors manifest. Such as the condition of a dog behavior which needs rewarding for a desirable dog behavior and punishing him for unwanted conduct. This recognition of dog's performance combined with appropriate training methods encourage the dog to conform better to his owner's or trainer's desires and expectations. Understanding of canine behavior and training can help you identify the factors underlying your dog behavior problems and may aid you in acquiring the necessary patience when working with your dog. In some cases, dogs that have undergone conventional training may still show some unpleasant behaviors and improper habits. In order to diminish these chances for dog behavior problems, you may need to retrain your pet to end the occurrence of dog behavior problems. Many of these dog behavior problems fall into the category of improper elimination which includes improper practices on waste elimination through urinating or defecating inside the owner's residence. Another dilemma is that of urine marking. If done in the proper place such as the outside of the house, this normal action of the dog may seem not too displeasing. Nevertheless, many pets have developed the practice of doing this inside the dwelling. Add to it the submissive urination which frequently happens when a dog encounters more dominant species. This may manifest in forms like rolling on the ground, urination or averting of the eyes. This may not be a problem at all, yet if done in front of the owner or a guest, this may become seemingly disappointing dog behavior. In spite of this, these dog behavior problems may be easily corrected. Chewing is another dog behavior problem, whether it is the result of a trauma or a dog's reaction to a certain distressing situations or the culprit is a young puppy who is exploring his new environment, a canine with an unneeded habit of chewing may prove distressing if not stopped. Some dogs have the habit of digging the garden. To correct this problem, the owner must first pinpoint why this dog behavior problem arises then from there, he may attend to the dog's dilemma with scooping of soil. If your dog digs, think of it as a commonplace exercise. However, if this activity is noticeably falling on the list of dog behavior problems then look for the underlying reasons which encourage him to act this way. For many, this action may be the resultant of finding for a prey or burying of food which will be reserved for future consumption. Your dog might be digging to build a pit for an underground shelter or as preparation to urinate or to excrete. Whichever is the reason for your pet's behavior, once it gets quite disturbing then you should at once correct this before it gets worse. Moreover, quite a number of dogs are fond of digging indoors in search for a place to rest. This form of digging behavior may not cause much damage but it may considerably wear down your carpets. In order to prohibit dog behavior problems, you should try first to prevent the occurrence of the opportunity. Later, develop an activity which your dog may find equally fun and challenging. This way, you may redirect your pet's energy and attention. Ordinarily speaking, your dog behavior problems may not be much of a setback not until it destroys possessions.
